I love to create color boxes at springs. It is great practice with the watercolors - mixing the colors and applying them to the page. It is also wonderful "therapy." I felt recharged and inspired after this journaling time despite the heat.

I felt infused with this prairie simply by observing and quickly sketching a variety of shapes that I saw. The sun was setting, so I had to work fast. A Whippoorwhil started singing and the lightning bugs lit up. It was magical, and this is an amazing way to experience it.
It was a wonderful few minutes doing quick sketches of this fascninating bird - from the window of my car! The road was close to the edge of the lake were it was hanging out. I so appreciated the time to study and sketch it.
