Want to create a "cheat sheet" to help you remember the names of the dragonflies as well as their beautiful field marks?

Directions:

1.  Check out the dragonfly template below.

2.  Click on the PDF to print a copy.

3.  Two ways to use this template:

           • Find reference photos of dragonflies, and color them on the 

             dragonfly template.  This practice will get you familiar with their patterns     

             and names before going into the field to look for live dragonflies to ID.

           • Or, take the template sheet into the field to spot dragonflies, record their

             field marks (colors and patterns), and then look up their names.
